Welcome

Orientation is an experience not to be missed! It’s your chance to get familiar with the university, meet new people studying the same program as you, and learn some really important information to help you get started in your tertiary journey.  

Information sessions for your program will be held in orientation week - Thursday the 19th of February 2026 for all Engineering and Computing degrees, and on Friday the 20th of February 2026 for Architecture, Design and Urban Planning degrees. Register below.

The session that you register for will be based on the program that you are enrolled in. If you are unsure of this, you’ll find your program name on the offer letter that was emailed to you from the university.  

Once you’ve registered, don’t forget to visit the Information for New Students page to watch your program information videos to give you all the specific academic details about your chosen program of study.

Orientation runs for 2 weeks, O-Week and Connect Week, held at the beginning of every semester. Events take place at Dutton Park, St Lucia, Herston and Gatton. O-Week (15 - 19 July) provides academic activities introducing you to university life.
