Welcome to your orientation for the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology.

Find out everything you need to know to get settled into the first few weeks of uni.

    Welcome

    To complete your orientation, you need to do three things:

    1. Register for the EAIT Undergraduate Welcome - meet fellow students, staff and learn about available support services. Online session available.

    2. Register for your Program Information Session below - ask questions about your degree structure and course choices. 

    3. Watch the Welcome to EAIT presentation by Executive Dean, Professor Sue Harrison, who shares essential information for new students and tips to help you get started at UQ.

    All commencing EAIT Undergraduate students will receive a series of emails from mid January leading up to O-Week including registration links to attend your compulsory sessions. Any sessions held online will be conducted via Zoom

    We know that starting university can be confusing, as there's a lot of information to absorb in a short period in time. We are making your orientation simple with tailored events for your program.

    EAIT Undergraduate Welcome

    Orientation for the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture & Information Technology's undergraduate students commencing in Semester 2, 2024.
    All sessions will be followed by our Courtyard Carnival where you can chat with academics and staff, meet student societies, and enjoy a fresh hot donut or ice-cream!

    UQ Life Orientation Program

    15 July 2024 9:00am26 July 2024 5:00pm
    Orientation runs for 2 weeks, O-Week and Connect Week, held at the beginning of every semester. Events take place at Dutton Park, St Lucia, Herston and Gatton. O-Week (15 - 19 July) provides academic activities introducing you to university life. Connect Week (22 - 26 July) features events and networking opportunities to help you meet and connect with others. View the full program.

    Undergraduate Engineering In-Person Q&A

    This session is an opportunity for students enrolled in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, and Bachelor of Engineering(Honours)/Duals, to ask any general questions you might have about enrolment and the program. Before attending, be sure to review all the information available on the Information for New Students Website. This session is not compulsory. No registration required to attend.
