But seriously, what is engineering? Presentation and virtual tour

In this interactive presentation students will discover how engineering plays a role in the world around them. Following the presentation you’ll go on a tour (virtually) of one of our facilities, discovering the labs that our staff and students use.

Explore the Advanced Engineering Building with the structures and hydraulics lab; step inside the new home of chemical engineering at UQ, the Andrew N. Liveris Building; visit the hypersonics lab where our mechanical and aerospace engineering students test the performance of scramjets, or tour the epic UQ Innovate makerspace.

School visits and careers markets

Our industry experts, academic staff and student ambassadors visit schools to provide advice on all aspects of university including study options, what university is like, careers, admission pathways, scholarships, student societies and support programs to help your students make an informed decision. School visits include a 35-minute presentation followed by a five-minute Q&A session, and we can tailor the presentation to meet your needs.

We regularly attend high school careers markets throughout the year. Our experienced student ambassadors are available to attend your school to provide information about studying at UQ to your students. And we have lots of free goodies to give away!
