Design thinking in engineering and computing

Have you ever used a piece of software and thought, this could be so much better if it actually understood what I needed?
Great software isn’t created by coding alone, it starts with understanding people. That’s where Design Thinking comes in. This human‑centred approach helps developers design solutions that truly matter to the people who use them.
Students will learn how to bring creativity and problem solving together to build meaningful, user‑focused digital products.
In this session, students will discover:
- The value of using design thinking to create meaningful software
- How to apply technical skills to build solutions that genuinely meet user needs
