Women in Engineering

UQ's Women in Engineering Program (WE) is committed to inspiring young women to pursue a career in engineering.

Established in 2013, the industry-funded, university-led program aims to improve gender diversity in the engineering workforce. Through workshops, events and presentations the program educates, supports and empowers future generations of women engineers.

Future Students

Supporting and inspiring high school students to consider an exciting career in engineering.

Women in Engineering run events throughout the year for high school students, high school teachers, university students, industry professionals and alumni.
We talk to industry professionals, current engineering students and educators from across the engineering sector and ask the big questions: What does a career in engineering look like?
We encourage and support students to embrace the challenges of a changing world, in a way that benefits their career, the industry, and communities all over the world.

Alumni and Industry

Our collaboration with universities and industry directly aligns with our goal of achieving a more gender diverse workforce.
