Traveling to and from workshops
We provide transportation to and from workshops, either via Cabcharge or Uber.
Cabcharge eTICKET work just like credit cards and are processed via the driver's payment terminal. These are given out for certain school visits and events to save you from paying for excessive fuel costs or if public transport is not available. The eTICKETs are not pre-paid and we can see the amount and locations for each visit with other information like the time and date.
How to use it:
- At the end of your trip, tell the cab driver you are using Cabcharge.
- Ask for a receipt and the small end of the eTICKET.
- Keep the eTICKET with you at all times and let us know immediately in case it gets lost or stolen. This way we can cancel it before they are spent and the program is charged.
UQ uses Uber for Business and our team can request a trip on your behalf while still giving you full control of the journey.
You will receive an invitation from Uber to manage the ride as if you had booked it yourself. This provides added safety and convenience, as the fare is charged directly to our business account and you do not need to pay upfront or submit an expense claim.
Gift cards and complimentary meals
We would of course expect you to demonstrate your leadership in a program by volunteering your time, but we like to give you a gift to show our appreciation.
- For some events like QTAC calls we provide complimentary meals. Please let us know if you have dietary requirements.
- For school outreach, tours or other external events, you will likely receive a Prezzee $30 gift card for every four hours of volunteer time.
