The Learning Enhancement Team (LET) works closely with the Associate Dean (Academic), School Teaching and Learning Chairs, and Deputy Associate Dean (Academic - Curriculum Strategy).

The mission of the team is to improve the student experience by contributing to engineering, architecture and information technology education. The team will facilitate dialogue, projects, scholarship, innovation and excellence in student-centred teaching and support for staff. The team promotes active and flexible learning approaches that lead to improved student outcomes and teaching experience and practice for staff.

To accomplish the mission the team provides consultation, resources and collaborates on projects that enables:

  • The provision of training and support in the use of blended and flexible learning techniques
  • Collaboration with academics on teaching and learning projects leading to improved student learning
  • The delivery of training, support and resources contributing to curriculum renewal, development and review
  • Liaison with the eLearning, Innovation and Partnerships in Science and Engineering Education on technology enhanced learning (TEL) projects

How we do this:

The team works collaboratively with teaching staff to design, develop, and implement student-focussed curriculum, and to embed and evaluate e-learning technologies, resources and pedagogies that enhance the student experience and enhance the teaching experience for our staff.

The LET team works toward achieving the goals and initiatives outlined in the Student Strategy 2016-2020.
