Welcome to your orientation for the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology.
The countdown is on! Your EAIT orientation activities are coming soon!
First up, is critical program information for undergraduate and postgraduate students! No need to RSVP to these, just zoom in on the day, or catch it on the recording later.
Then, it’s O-week, and EAIT activities are happening on Tuesday July 18th. Undergraduate and postgraduate RSVP now!
Getting started in your program
The University of Queensland Orientation Week ("O-week") for Semester 2, 2023 is scheduled for Monday 17 July till Friday 21 July, 2023.
The Faculty of EAIT orientation day is Tuesday 18 July, 2023.
Specific sessions will be held for each degree in the faculty, and these will provide essential information about your degree, tips for successful study and getting the most out of university, the opportunity to ask questions and to meet staff and other students.

Orientation
Get ready for orientation
To complete your orientation, you need to do five things:
1. Download the UQ Nav app
If you are attending any events on-campus, install the UQ Nav app to help you find your way around the UQ Campus.
2. Install Zoom
If you will be attending any events online, install Zoom on your device, and log in with your UQ username and password.
3. Questions
Make a note of any questions you may already have and bring them along to the information session for your program. Each session will include a Q&A with your academic advisors.
4. Attend
Attend the orientation information sessions for your program.
5. Follow us
Follow us on Facebook (@UQEngTech and @UQArchitectureSchool) and Instagram (@UQEngTech and @UQArchitecture) to keep up to date with EAIT events.
Get online with Zoom
Online orientation sessions are held using Zoom, an online video, audio and screen sharing platform. You'll be asked to log in to Zoom using your UQ student username and password.
Before Orientation, ensure you have Zoom installed on your device and practice logging in with your username and password.
UQ provides information and support for installing Zoom, and accessing your UQ username and password.
