What is the replacement course for ENGG1200?

ENGG1200 was a compulsory course in the pre-2021 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master of Engineering program structure. As ENGG1200 has been discontinued, students who have not yet successfully completed this course are required to take an alternative course in place of ENGG1200. The replacement course will vary depending on your chosen major and the courses you have already successfully completed.

The following outlines the replacement course for ENGG1200 by major. Students must be read the requirements in order and follow the first requirement that is applicable to their studies (i.e. requirement 1 has precedence over requirement 2, and requirement 2 has precedence over requirement 3). If you are studying Chemical, Chemical and Biological, Chemical and Environmental, Chemical and Materials or Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering

If you have not completed ENGG1200 and you have not completed ENGG1400 – you must complete ENGG1700
If you have not completed ENGG1200 and you have completed ENGG1400 and you have not completed CSSE1001 – you must complete ENGG1001 or CSSE1001
If you have not completed ENGG1200 and you have completed both ENGG1400 and CSSE1001 – you must complete an engineering program elective.

If you are studying Civil Engineering

If you have not completed ENGG1200 and you have not completed CSSE1001 – you must complete either ENGG1001 or CSSE1001
If you have not completed ENGG1200 and you have completed CSSE1001 and you have not completed ENGG1500 – you must complete ENGG1500
If you have not completed ENGG1200 and you have completed both ENGG1500 and CSSE1001 – you must complete an engineering program elective.
