International students

Hello. I'm Georgia Baker, your International Student Advisor.

I’m here to answer any questions you have as an international student studying in the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology.

You can contact me by email or book a StudentHub appointment. Appointments are currently available Monday from 1–4pm AEST. To schedule an appointment on another day or time, get in touch via email.

Make sure you join the EAIT Student Mentoring Hub on Vygo to access your student mentors, and get updates on upcoming events.

        Social networking sessions

We will be holding several online and on-campus social events throughout the Semester (movie and games events, plus mixers). All of our social events offer you the opportunity to win a $50 UQ Shop Gift Voucher.

If you missed orientation week, the recordings will be made available on the EAIT Orientation page shortly. This includes the session for international students commencing EAIT studies.

        International student resources

Check out the range of services available to help you make the most of your studies.

If you would like to improve your English language skills, UQ offers a range of services to help. These services have been designed to assist UQ students who identify English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) to develop their English language preferences across the following four areas: writing, reading, listening and/or speaking.
Are you looking for a place to ask questions, meet other students and get involved? We are excited to welcome you to the EAIT Student Mentoring Hub! In this program, you will find a group of student leaders ready to help you, as well as a wide range of online sessions with helpful information about starting at UQ.
A range of articulation pathway options are available to international students who have undertaken tertiary studies.
