Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical and Aerospace)

What do you love most about your degree?

I have always loved building things and understanding how items go together. I also love helping people and participating in community events. It was not until I was in grade 10 that I realised engineering is a perfect combination of both of those things. Following this passion, I got the opportunity to go to CASE space school in the US, where I fell in love with the aerospace industry and haven’t looked back.

What do you love most about your degree?

The best part of my degree is that I get to learn how something works on paper and then construct it in real life. It is great to engage with challenging content as it is stimulating and helps to develop problem-solving skills and resilience.

Tell us about any internships that you’ve participated in.

I was lucky enough to participate in an internship with BHP over the summer break. This experience helped me gain insight into how engineering looks in a day-to-day context. It also helped me develop networking skills and meet a wide variety of people with whom I have formed lifelong friendships.
