Why did you choose to study at UQ?

UQ provides a world-class opportunity to study engineering, with an excellent teaching team and a range of support services. UQ and associated student societies also place heavy emphasis on employability opportunities, with UQ graduates being extremely well regarded within the industry.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?

I’d encourage new UQ students to make the most of all opportunities available at UQ – whether it be being active within student societies, attending networking events, or even as simple as attending your classes and meeting your peers.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

When I graduate, I hope to work in a role where I can actively contribute to decarbonization as reaching net-zero carbon emissions is a keen area of interest for me. I believe there are many meaningful ways within the industry I can help with this, such as optimising processes and incorporating new and emerging technologies.
