Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Software)
Who or what made you choose to study this?
Ever since highschool I have taken a great interest for STEM related fields as well as studying Engineering Technology during highschool. Due to this I thought what better degree to study than Bachelor of Engineering! Engineering is a field which develops both technical and creative thinking which was something I wanted to have in my future career, making the choice to study it even clearer!
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
My favourite course so far would have to be DECO2500, Human Interaction design. In this course we worked in groups to come up with a digital solution to a problem of our choice. I loved that I was able to think outside the box and that we had lots of flexibility with our assessment. I also enjoyed how this course applied practically the theoretical knowledge taught in classes to the project.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?
Be prepared to be challenged at UQ as they provide an education with both complex theory and practical applications.
