Engineering (Honours)
(Chemical and Environmental)

Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Chemical and Environmental)

Who or what made you choose to study this?

I enjoyed and achieved success in chemistry, maths and physics at highschool which made me inclined towards engineering. I enjoyed chemistry more than physics so I decided on chemical and environmental engineering as my major.

Why did you choose to study at UQ?

I chose to study at UQ because it offered the best engineering degree in Queensland.

What’s been your favourite course so far and why?

My favourite course throughout my degree so far has been CHEE3007, Process modelling and dynamics. It was the first time almost all of the accumulated theory was consolidated into one class. Additionally, while I did find the class difficult and very time consuming I definitely enjoyed the modelling process with the accompanying troubleshooting.
