Current Student: Bachelors of Engineering (Honours)/ Computer ScienceĀ
The first time I considered engineering as a tertiary pathway was in Grade 11, after attending UQ's Open Day. The Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering presentation was the highlight for me due to the lecturer's passion and a found fascination in sustainable energy sources. Notable, formative experiences in my final year of high school were Environmental Engineering work experience and an Engineering Camp hosted by our local University.
The Mobile Makerspace will make engaging and interactive opportunities more accessible to regional and remote students. It will allow students to explore their passions under trained supervision and inspire futures in STEM.
Inspire future STEM professionals across regional and remote Queensland through an immersive education experience
The UQ Mobile Makerspace initiative aims to bridge the gap for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students outside major city centres. It also supports hands-on creativity and applied problem-solving, encouraging students to explore a wide range of disciplines, from science, technology and engineering through to architecture, design, planning and other fields that benefit from innovative and interdisciplinary thinking.
