Why did you choose to study at UQ?
I believe UQ had the most advantageous architectural course, the focus on sustainability really surprised me, I fell in love!
What do you love most about your degree?
What I love about Architecture is that combines everything I have ever learnt. To be an architect is to be aware of what humans do, think and feel. Math, science, art, design all have their place within architecture. Architects use the cutting-edge technology, we have to be empathic and think not only on the human but on every scale, we also really like making tiny cardboard buildings.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
BLDG2120: Building Science: Performance and Sustainability. A truly inspiring course. The influence that architects could empower in the world, in the environment, is always insane. Someone deciding to study architecture shouldn’t feel unimportant or limited, your choices are always significant.
