Why did you choose to study at UQ?

I shoot for the moon, I have very high expectations for myself. I didn’t want to move overstate so UQ was the moon I landed on.

What’s been your favourite course so far and why?

My favourite course was CHEE4001, I loved it because I have learnt the most from that course despite its difficulty. The course allowed me to apply everything I have learned over the course of 4 years and put them into practice, I like this sort of problem-solving process and it was very rewarding when I completed it. The moment I got my marks was a highlight of my life.

Have you participated in any internships/work? If so tell us a bit about it, what did you enjoy most about the experience?

I have participated in both summer and winter research at UQ. I thoroughly appreciated them, it had made me a better student and employee by constantly challenging my ability to deal with drastic change and problem-solving.

At the same time, I have also been involved in internships, I also enjoyed it as it was an eye-opening experience to see the equipment I’ve studied in person and to gain an insight into the oil and gas industry.
