What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
My favourite course so far has been ENGG1100. It has taught me a lot about the progression of group projects from the importance of planning, design iterations, structure, testing, etc. I had several moments during the construction phases where a fellow group member of mine planned out the code and electrical circuits that powered the water pump via a button, we were so ecstatic when it worked.
Are you a member of any student societies / participate in extracurricular activities? Tell us a bit about it.
I have only just recently started getting involved in the UQ community. I have made it a goal of mine to get involved more and get out of my comfort zone. I have recently got involved in the EAIT Leaders pathway program. It was a good experience learning the ins and outs of what makes a good/bad mentor whilst also meeting other people within the program.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?
Get involved with the community as much as possible.
