What do you love most about your degree?

I love that every day, I wake up and get to study what I am truly interested in, and that in my subjects I am constantly solving problems – no matter how small. I also love that I get to work and collaborate and gain real experience whilst studying, with lecturers who work closely with industry (especially in the electrical engineering realm) and are genuinely passionate about their subjects.

What’s been your favourite course so far and why?

STAT2203, it was both a challenging and incredibly engaging course and the lecturer Fred Roosta-Khorasani was very passionate and informative. I loved learning about the common misconceptions around statistics and all the statistical ‘misinformation’ that can be found in research papers; especially how to read the results of them properly.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?

Do it! Take the leap of faith and consider all the opportunities for personal growth and development that UQ can provide.
