Engineering (Honours)
(Chemical / Economics)

Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Chemical) / Economics

Who or what made you choose to study this?

I always found energy interesting and wanted to contribute to improving current sustainability issues and I believe the combination of these degrees allows me to best do that.

What’s been your favourite course so far and why?

Chemical Thermodynamics (CHEE2030) has been my favourite course due to its complexity and interesting subject matter. I enjoyed the course content and how it was organised.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?

I’d suggest having a look to see if the courses within the degree they are considering sound interesting to them and to look at how they’re taught and then compare this to that of other universities. UQ is unique in the number of courses/electives it possesses within one degree as well as its delivery, so there will always be something for everyone.
