Why did you choose to study at UQ?

I chose to study at UQ after attending the 2022 UQ Open Day, where I had the opportunity to interact with current students and faculty members. During that day I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with UQ’s strong reputation and impressive engineering facilities like UQ Innovate and the Andrew Liveris building, which solidified my decision to enrol at UQ.

What’s been your favourite course so far and why?

Introduction to Computer Systems (CSSE2010) was a highlight being the first second-year level course I completed. Since it was an introductory course, it showed us the bare bones of how a computer works and how to program a microchip which was right down my interests.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?

My advice to someone considering studying at UQ would be to take advantage of the countless number of resources and opportunities available. Whether it’s getting involved with clubs and societies or seeking out career and internship opportunities, UQ offers a lot for students' personal and professional growth.
