Ms Karen Perkins

The position of Faculty Executive Manager has management responsibility for faculty operations and provides oversight and management of professional staff across the faculty. The FEM provides strategic management advice and support to the Executive Dean, Heads of Schools, and Centre Directors by identifying, developing and implementing initiatives to promote the Faculty's work.

Karen has over 20 years’ experience working as a manager in leading universities in Australia and the UK, across a range of function and discipline areas. She joined The University of Queensland in April 2012. 

Karen has an MBA in higher education management from the University of London, Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Bond University and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese and German language & culture from The University of Queensland.
