About Future Work Immersion | Kinrise

First and second-year students studying Mechanical, Electrical or Mechanical and Materials Engineering are invited to experience a live food manufacturing environment with Kinrise.
During this interactive site visit, you’ll tour Kinrise’s manufacturing operations, meet industry professionals and work with other students on a real industry challenge.
No previous industry experience is required. Places are limited to 20 students, so please join the waitlist if the event is fully booked.
Before you register
Getting there
- Students must arrange their own transport to and from Kinrise in Carole Park. Transport will not be provided by UQ or Kinrise, and the site is not accessible by public transport.
- Kinrise is approximately a 30-minute drive from St Lucia campus, depending on traffic. Please check the location and confirm your transport arrangements before booking.
- Free visitor parking is available at 43 Mica Street, Carole Park. Detailed arrival instructions will be sent to registered students before the event.
What to wear
Students must wear long pants and steel-cap safety boots to participate in the manufacturing plant tour. Students who own steel-cap safety boots should bring and wear them. Kinrise can provide boots to students who request them during registration, along with other required PPE.

Kinrise is an Australian-owned food and beverage company producing a range of household grocery and snack products. Its work spans manufacturing, engineering, operations, research and development, and innovation.
