Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, a key partner institution of UQ's in India, is hosting an AI-focused hackathon, bringing together students, innovators, and problem-solvers to tackle real-world challenges using cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools and techniques.

This funded experience will give you the chance to:

Funding Support
The University of Queensland and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) will provide selected students with comprehensive funding to cover their participation in the hackathon. This includes:

  • Round-trip international airfare from Australia (Brisbane) to India (Chandigarh)

  • Meals and accommodation for the duration of the program (onsite at TIET)

  • Local transport and on-ground support provided by TIET

  • Registration fees for the hackathon and other activities

Participants will be expected to have access to reasonable funds to support their personal and daily necessities, such as passport costs, visas, travel vaccinations, shopping, emergency medical costs, etc.
