Why did you choose to study at UQ?
I was really impressed by the quality and variety of opportunities provided by the university. The university offers so many career programs, incredible courses, and study, work, and volunteering opportunities that I have been grateful to take part in.
What do you love most about your degree?
I love the fact that I am constantly being challenged in every course I take. Seeing the real-world impacts of concepts and learning from expert professors has been very motivating.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
My favourite course so far has been COMP3400 Functional Programming. Whilst it was an incredibly challenging course it was also eye-opening and reminded me why I love my field.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?
I would recommend anyone to start taking on opportunities and putting themselves out there early. Join as many programs, volunteering opportunities, and committees you want.
