Electrify Your Summer: Funded Electrical Engineering Summer School in Taiwan

EECS New Colombo Plan Project

Get ready to spark your passion for electrical engineering with an unforgettable summer school experience in the heart of Taiwan! This New Colombo Plan (NCP) program invites Australian students to delve into the world of electrical engineering, combining academic excellence with cultural immersion in the vibrant surroundings of Taiwan.

Embark on a journey to discover Taiwan, the world’s semiconductor superhub (manufacturing over 90 per cent of the world’s supply), with industry site visits and interactive workshops hosted by leading biomedical and electrical professors.

The program will support 15 students who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, Electrical or Mechatronic, to participate in a two-week program based in Taiwan.

The NCP is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake study in the region.

The project builds on UQ’s links with Chang Gung University and Feng Chia University.

Selected students will each be offered a mobility grant of AU$3,000 to support costs, including flights, program fees, and incidental expenses. Please see more information in the ‘Costs’ section below.
