Want to enhance your employability but have limited availability to do so?

This one day event will provide engineering, design, architecture and computing students at UQ the opportunity to enhance their career identities, strengths and where their personal and professional values are positioned. Through hands-on, diverse and inspiring sessions, the event will encourage you to start forward thinking about your future careers with content and resources that are needed in addition to your degree to be job ready.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Network with industry, alumni and your fellow peers
  • Find out how to gain experience when you have no experience
  • Learn important skills around entrepreneurship, mentorship and future employment trends for 2022 and beyond!
  • Develop technical skills through hands-on masterclasses including interview practice, elevator pitch development and techniques for building resilience and managing stress
  • Hear top tips from UQ alumni and industry professionals
  • Learn about personal branding and LinkedIn

The day is open for all engineering, architecture, design and computing students from The University of Queensland. Every session is run by industry and there are sessions to cater to all our EAIT students and disciplines.

The event will end with an industry mixer where you will join industry professionals, associations and peers and put your new networking skills into practice

Dress Code: Smart/business attire. (Dress for the job you want! You'll be able to get your LinkedIn headshot on the day!)

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea all included.

Engineering students might be able to claim Type B hours (under Category 8) for attending this event. See the activity table for full details.
