International students: employability, visa conditions and work rights

Join EAIT Employability and Jack Huang, a registered migration agent and UQ International Student Advocate who has supported international students with visa-related questions since 2011.

This session will help you understand what Australian employers value, prepare for recruitment and confidently explain your visa conditions and work rights to prospective employers.

What to expect

During the session, you will:

• Explore what employability means and how you can strengthen your employability as an international student.
• Learn what Australian employers value when recruiting students and graduates, including key skills and attributes.
• Understand the recruitment process and how to prepare strong application documents.
• Learn how to communicate your visa conditions and work rights clearly and confidently to prospective employers.
• Understand your workplace rights and how the Fair Work Ombudsman can support you.
• Ask questions during a dedicated Q&A session.
