Experience the UQ Mobile Makerspace in Action – Free BBQ & STEM Fun This Giving Day

Join us on UQ Giving Day, 15 October, for the UQ Mobile Makerspace Activation and Free BBQ at The Great Court (in front of the Forgan Smith Tower) from 11am to 2pm. This is your chance to see the Mobile Makerspace in action, meet the passionate team behind it, and find out how you can help make a real difference.

The UQ Mobile Makerspace brings hands-on STEM workshops to high school students in regional, and remote Queensland, places where access to this kind of learning is often limited. You can't be what you can't see.  With your support, we can change that by inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and creators, no matter where they live.

What’s on at the event:

• Free BBQ and cupcakes

• Hands-on STEM activities (including 3D printing, laser cutting & more)

• STEM games and prizes

• Learn how your support helps deliver STEM to regional students

• Meet the Makerspace team and explore the mobile lab
