When discussing financials in a work environment, are you scared of rocking the boat, have a lack of confidence, and subconsciously feel like you should be grateful for what you’ve got? It’s a common trend that women, in general, are less inclined to negotiate for a higher compensation when they are offered a job.

This tendency is reflected in the engineering field, where despite comparatively high pay rates, female engineers perform the same work to male engineers but are paid less for doing so. Engineers Australia reported in 2022 that “across the top three industries that employ engineers (engineering design and consultancy services, manufacturing, and construction), the national pay gap for professionals is in favour of men by up to 22 per cent.”

Join us in our upcoming session where we delve into the art of negotiation. Let’s empower ourselves to break free from societies patterns and confidently advocate for the compensation we deserve.
