Architecture and design students are invited to join us for the UQ Architecture St Helena Island Boat Cruise.

You'll have the opportunity to meet a lot of new and friendly faces, take a tour of the historical sitesĀ on the island and enjoy a great lunch!

St Helena Island is known to the Quandamooka People as "Noogoon" and Aboriginal people have been visiting the island to exploit its resources for over 2,500 years.

From 1867, St Helena Island hosted Queensland's highest security prison. After the prison was abandoned in 1933, the island has since been listed as national park and is home to numerous birdlife and native animals such as wallabies.
