Supporting Architecture, Design and Planning students with industry placements.
Architecture, Design and Planning placements
These placements provide final year students from the School of Architecture, Design and Planning (ADP) with the opportunity to gain industry experience and contribute fresh ideas and technical skills to you your projects.
Placement information
Placements occur in semester 1 & 2
Minimum commitment: 100 hours (flexible delivery – in person preferred)
Our expectations of placement hosts
As a placement host, your organisation is responsible for providing each student with:
A meaningful and appropriate learning experience so as to achieve the objectives of the program
A placement supervisor and professional role models
Regular feedback sessions with the student, including written feedback addressing relevant criteria
Regular supervision as relevant to occupational health and safety risks; and professional development opportunities.
How can industry support?
Students are responsible for sourcing their own placements and will approach organisations directly. You can simply be open to student enquiries, or if you would like to make your opportunities more visible contact the ADP school to discuss advertising your placement role so students can find and apply.
