UQ architectural designs would transform beach side suburb of Scarborough

15 Oct 2019

The Courier Mail's QUEST newspaper published UQ architecture students' design projects, developed in a Master's degree studio subject that focuses on real-world learning and providing industry experience to students.

"New harbours, jetties, ocean baths and museums were all part of a strategic plan to bring new life to a beachside community north of Brisbane," the journalist wrote.

The Moreton Maritime Alliance’s Scarborough Futures Design project was developed by University of Queensland Masters of Architecture Students Carlone Zhang, Yuri Valle, Manasa Chegu, Jun Ruan, Jessica Ji and Paul Zhang.

The students redesigned Scarborough Harbour to demonstrate the economic and community building opportunities that are available.
