Why did you choose to study at UQ?
I like how UQ keeps their students disciplined, enjoyed the campus, and the course structure. Additionally, my sister went to UQ and was a tutor, and she raved about it as well.
What do you love most about your degree?
I love how much I enjoy learning. I find both degrees so special and interesting in many ways. I also enjoy interacting with lecturers as well.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
MATH 1051, which I did in summer sem, with STAT1201 and CSSE1001 being close. I loved the lecturer (Dr Sam Kault), and the tutors. The course was structured so well and so much support was given.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?
It’s ok to mess up. You don’t always hit the ground running. It takes time to adjust to uni life, and trust me, you should stop being harsh on yourself. Uni is hard, and it’s important to not stress out over grades. Make friends, love what you do. The grades will improve when you do.
