Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical and Environmental)
What do you love most about your degree?
I love knowing that as a chemical engineer I will have the capabilities, skills, and tools to positively impact the world.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
ENGG2000 Humanitarian Engineering is a relatively new and small elective course I decided to try out because it sounded interesting. Little did I know that it would shape how I saw engineering as a whole and the direction I would take as a student and future engineer. It taught me the importance and value of engineers in supporting disadvantaged communities and creating a sustainable future.
Who or what made you choose to study this?
I’ve always been a huge promoter of STEM; I’ve wanted to be a part of EAIT Ambassadors since I started my degree!
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?
Make friends! Building a social network to support each other while studying is very important at university.
