Chris Greig is the Theodora D. ’78 and William H. Walton III ’74 Senior Research Scientist at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, at Princeton University. He has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland; is an Honorary Professor at The University of Queensland and The University of Melbourne; and a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. He also serves on the Sustainability External Advisory Council for Dow Chemical Company.

His research is interdisciplinary and deeply collaborative with industry, focusing on overcoming the most critical challenges to mobilizing energy and industrial decarbonization infrastructure at speed and scale. He co-led Princeton’s influential Net-Zero America study and is leading Princeton’s participation in collaborations on similar studies in countries with rapidly growing emissions. Prior to academia, Chris spent 3 decades working in the private sector across four continents, firstly as a successful company founder, and then as a senior executive in the energy and resources sectors. His experience included leadership of ZeroGen Limited, an early mover in large scale CCS, and deputy chairmanship of Gladstone Ports Corporation, one of Australia’s major energy and mineral export hubs.
