The Faculty of
Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology

In just two years The University of Queensland’s Women in Engineering Program has cemented UQ as a university of choice for female engineers in Australia.

As we move towards reaching our program outcomes, for attracting and supporting females to aspire to engineering related careers, UQ is now calling on alumni, industry partners and friends to help us take the next crucial step in transforming outcomes  to impacts at community and organisational levels.

The Women in Action Fund will support female engineering, design and information technology students to engage in community and industry based experiences via study tours, student exchange, and short term professional and personal development experiences.

The fund allows gifts from alumni, industry and friends of UQ to join together to make the greatest impact in the life of students at UQ. By mobilising the best and brightest female talent being fostered at the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, we hope to influence change beyond the university environment.

If you would like to support aspiring female engineering, design and technology students make a global impact – please donate today

I thank you for your support and look forward to sharing stories from deserving students who have benefit from your philanthropy.

With best wishes,

Simon Biggs
Former Executive Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology
