This session is specifically designed for first year students in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) to help get you started in your degree.

During the session you will receive essential program information to successfully plan your enrolment, have the opportunity to ask questions, and meet other students and staff in your program.

Note: There are morning and afternoon sessions available for this event. You can register to attend either Session 1 or Session 2.

This is an on-campus only event, and places are limited. If you are unable to attend on campus, or the event reaches capacity, a separate online event is available.

Session 1
  • 8.45am–10am: Welcome presentation (UQ Centre (27A) Exhibition Hall)
  • 10am–12pm: Orientation activities (UQ Centre (27A) Exhibition Hall)
  • 12pm–12.45pm: Lunch and EAIT Expo (UQ Centre (27A) Exhibition Hall)

Session 2

  • 12pm–1.15pm: Welcome presentation (Advanced Engineering Building (49-200))
  • 1.15pm–2pm: Lunch and EAIT Expo (UQ Centre (27A) Exhibition Hall)
  • 2.30pm–4.30pm: Orientation activities (UQ Centre (27A) Exhibition Hall)

Who should attend

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) students
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering students
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) dual degree students*

*Please note, students studying a dual degree with the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Design should not register for an Orientation session for both programs. Find more information about which sessions to register for and attend here.

This is a COVID Safe Event.

Please note, due to capacity restrictions seating is capped. If you are unable to secure a place in your preferred session, a second session is available to attend.
