This essential program information session for first year students in the Bachelor of Computer Science (and dual degrees) is designed to help get you started in your degree!

You will get the information you need to plan your enrolment, have the opportunity to ask questions, and meet other students and academic staff in your program.

What's on

  • 12pm–1.15pm: Welcome presentation (On-campus in Room 27(A)-220, and online - External students will be able to attend using Zoom)
  • 1.15pm–2.00pm: Lunch and EAIT Expo (On-campus in UQ Centre (27A) Exhibition Hall)
  • 2.30pm–4.30pm: Orientation activities (On-campus in Room 49-301)

Important information for on-campus attendance

This is a COVID Safe Event.

Please note, due to capacity restrictions seating is capped. You must register to attend the on-campus event, and bring your ticket along on the day.

Online attendance

The Welcome presentation will be available to watch online via Zoom. You do not need to register to attend the online streaming of this event.


Who should attend

  • Bachelor of Computer Science students
  • Bachelor of Computer Science dual degree students*

*Please note, students studying a dual degree with the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) should not register for an Orientation session for both programs. Find more information about which sessions to register for and attend here.
