In 2023, the structure of our Master of Engineering program changed to introduce separate Master of Engineering (Professional) programs for each field of Engineering offered at UQ.
Prior to 2023, students enrolled into one Master of Engineering program and declared a field of study within that program. Currently, students select the individual Professional Masters program within their Engineering area of expertise:

  • Master of Bioengineering (Professional)
  • Master of Chemical Engineering (Professional)
  • Master of Civil Engineering (Professional)
  • Master of Electrical Engineering (Professional)
  • Master of Mechanical Engineering (Professional)
  • Master of Software Engineering (Professional)
  • Master of Urban Water Engineering (Professional)

What does this mean for current students?

Students who commenced prior to 2023 can continue to complete their Master of Engineering program, referring to the course list and program rules for the year that they commenced. Or they may decide to change their program to the current structure and receive eligible credit.
