What do you study?

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical and Aerospace

Why did you choose to study at UQ?

I started at another university in Melbourne, but moved to Queensland for UQ as it offered attractive major options along followed by a Master’s program. UQ is also well known for its extensive research in hypersonics which is something I find interesting.

Why did you choose to study your discipline?

I have always been extremely passionate about aviation, and I thought to myself, why not get a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace to complement a pilot’s license in the future.

What advice do you have for prospective students interested in studying engineering, architecture, computer science and/or information technology at UQ?

Work hard from day one, your first two years (especially your first year) is the perfect time to set a high standard for your GPA. Also, try and get involved in activities and clubs from your first semester as it will give you a solid foundation for networking and making friends.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The two wonderful courts of course. The Great Court and the Food Court. I like to grab food and sit peacefully on the grass as I gaze off into the distance, taking in the surroundings and trying to be in the moment.

What do you love most about your degree?

I love the fact that I now learn how things work in a detailed manner. Building up my knowledge base and meeting other students over the last 3 years has been quite the experience.

What makes you a great EAIT Student Ambassador?

I understand the needs of students and observe things from their perspective and help establish solid relationships between them, myself and others. I am ready to use my knowledge and experience to help you provide the best possible experience for future students and to be a professional individual representing UQ.
