Enter the exciting world of robotics by building and programming your own robot!

In this workshop, students will learn how to build their own robot using the Lego Mindstorms EV3.

Students who complete this workshop can extend their learning the next day with our Artificial Intelligence workshop!

All UQ Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology workshop are designed to meet the requirements of the latest school technology curriculum, helping students to develop valuable technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum age for students attending?

Students must be in high school (year 7 - 12) to attend this workshop. 

Does a student need know anything about robotics to attend?

No! We'll cover all of the basic skills you need to know before we progress to the problem-solving tasks (the fun stuff!)

What will students need to bring?

Nothing - just your imagination and your brain! A pen/pencil and a piece of paper may be useful, but students can also use the whiteboards in the venue for their notes and planning. 

Please don't bring any lego, and note that no food can be consumed in our computer labs.
