UQR!SK - Incident Investigation Master Practitioner Session - BRISBANE 2-3 FEB 2017

The aim of this workshop is to provide industry with an update on what is happening in the incident investigation space, and apply a proposed incident investigation process that incorporates human factors and risk control analysis into the incident investigation process currently used by organisations.
 

Day 1: Critical Control Focus Morning:

• Professor Neville Plint - Director of the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI), UQ

• Current research: Incident investigation process from the Critical Control perspective

• Survey questions • Introduction of proposed incident investigation process

• Group work: application of incident investigation process to a simple incident scenario

• Group work: continue application of incident investigation process to an incident scenario

• Group presentation

• Individual critique of proposed incident investigation process

Day 2: Human Factors Focus Morning:

• Current research: Incident investigation process from the Human Factors perspective

• Group work: application of incident investigation process to a complex incident scenario

• Group work: continue application of incident investigation process to an incident scenario

• Group presentation

• Individual critique of proposed incident investigation process

• Summary of the workshop findings

• Next steps

 

The program will be facilitated by Dr Maureen Hassall and Philippa Dodshon. Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane CBD, 9am-5pm.
