Through our strategic international partnerships, you can combine study with travel with a European Double Degree.
Selected students will spend at least three semesters studying at one of our international partner institutions in Germany, France, Italy or Sweden. Gaining an invaluable global perspective and international industry experience, students will also graduate with formal degrees from both UQ and their chosen university.
Follow the steps below to start your European Study Adventure!
Step 1
First things first, find out more about our partner institutions. It's time to do some research!
We recommend visiting each institution's website, exploring the courses on offer and reading up on their academics. You should also find out more about living in the institution's country and city.
Step 2
Join us at one of our information sessions to find out more about the program, eligibility, and applications.
For Semester 2, 2020 email international@eait.uq.edu.au with your preferred time to book a Zoom EAIT International Mobility advising appointment.
Step 3
After meeting with the Faculty and deciding on your preferred partner institution, it is Time to Apply!
Please note, these double degree opportunities are not currently available to international students due to visa restrictions.
With Australia’s international borders currently closed, and no indication of when they might open, UQ has made the difficult decision to cancel all outbound semester-based exchange for Semester 1 and Semester 2, 2021 and all overseas (in-person) short-term experiences for Summer 2020/2021 and Winter 2021. Refer to the Global Experiences FAQs for further information.
Step 4
If you are not already in the program, you will need to transfer into the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) / Master of Engineering - the BE/ME - program to be eligible.
AYou can submit a program change request to change into the BE/ME through mySInet during the summer or winter semester breaks.
Step 5
Finally, you will need to submit an application to your chosen partner institution.
After submitting your application and program change, a Faculty staff member will contact you with details on how and when to apply.
Applications will be open between March and May, depending on the partner institution.
